Who we are utilizes many resources of partner
Who we are 1961 Josef Kühlmann patents his laying nest chicken cage system design 1962 Josef and brother Heinrich Kühlmann found Kühlmann company, later renamed Farmer Automatic Josef Kühlmann GmbH 1967 Farmer Automatic of America founded in the USA 2007 Farmer Automatic Biomass Technology formed to focus on waste handling systems associated with chicken and pig farming 2008 - Biomass Technology renamed Qalovis Farmer Automatic Energy
Who we are Qalovis intends to provide complete heat and power systems from biomass via its biomass dryers, pelletizers, and finally its Power System gasification/stirling combination unit.
Who we are
Qalovis BioGas Plant Products
Who we are Qalovis also represents Stirling Biopower in Europe. Qalovis is a shareholder of Stirling Biopower Inc, based in Ann, Arbor, USA.
Who we are Stirling Biopower, Inc. was formed in Q2 2007 when the assets of STM Power were acquired by Qalovis and a partner. Shortly thereafter an engineering team was tasked with redesigning key sealing structures of the engine, which had been problematic during the STM period, while continuing with overall product development. A successful sealing structure design was proven through in-house testing. Currently a fleet of validation units are being started in both the USA and Europe to demonstrate the durability of the core Stirling technology. Introducing the FleXgen.
What is a FleXgen? The term FleXgen is derived from flexible power generation which highlights the fuel flexibilities of the FleXgen product line. The FleXgen is a packaged generator set based on a Stirling engine combined with a generator, cooling subsystem, lubrication subsystem, Hydrogen subsystem, and overall control system. Product lines include G- and H-Series.
What is the FleXgen G-Series? FleXgen G38 produces 38kW of electrical power, post parasitic losses. Operates with gaseous fuels (G) of energy densities 13MJ/Nm3 and higher. Capability to use in Cogen installations (CHP /BHKW) for an additional 65kWt. Electrical Efficiency of up to 29% Overall efficiency of up to 78% Low emission exhaust Package is weather proof for outdoor installation.

FleXgen G-Series Primary Applications Waste Water Treatment Plants Small scale plants are a good fit for the FleXgen G-Series technology Ability to handle siloxane contaminants without gas cleaning a plus Heat output within range for anaerobic digestion
FleXgen G-Series Primary Applications Landfill Methane Declining production from older landfills often too small for large ICE engines Siloxane and contaminant handling also a plus Bio Gas Plants Small scale biogas plants Complimentary generation at larger plants Residual Gas consumption for increased electrical output
FleXgen G-Series Payback With 95% availability, that means: 316.236 kwh electric per year with G38 In Germany, that means: Base electricity price (12 cents for industry) Plus 5,11 cents KWK (CHP) Bonus / kwh Plus 2,0 cents Technology bonus / kwh Additional 2.05 cents saved taxes / kwh when electricity offsets site consumption G38 bonuses / savings / earnings= 28.967 per year Total earnings = 66.916 / year
What is the FleXgen H-Series? FleXgen H-Series operates with hot gases using heat (H) as the fuel source H-Series differs from the G-Series in the following ways: No fueling and combustion system Added cowling for routing of hot gases to the heat exchanger Control strategy which reacts to heat input Electrical power will be dependent on mass flow rate and temperature of gases Designed for integration with gasification systems (Qalovis Power System and others) Biomass furnaces Waste heat applications High temperature exhaust gases Electrical Efficiency is dependent on the quality of heat passing heat exchanger
In summary... FleXgen G-Series Currently outputs 38kW For use with gaseous fuels - Landfills - Waste Water Treatment - Biogas plants FleXgen H-Series Uses hot gases as a fuel - gasification system integration - waste heat sources - biomass furnaces - high temperature exhaust gases
