HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS: 1. CRACK JACK (Face Painting) A team of TWO consisting of an artist and a participant volunteering as the canvas (face). The teams are requested to refrain from using external references for their artwork. All the requirements for the event must be brought by the team beforehand. Judgement Criteria: Creativity in colour and Originality. Duration: 1 and ½ hour. Time: 01:00 P.M 03:00 P.M Venue: LOYOLA HALL 2. JUNK BUSTERS (Wealth Out Of Waste) A team of TWO students. Pre-Designed and Homemade objects will not be recognised. The essentials for this event must be brought by the respective teams. Judgement Criteria: Innovation and Cost Efficiency. Duration: 2 hours Time: 11:30 A.M 01:30 P.M Venue: GONZAGA GROUND

3. FLAP JAW (Just A Minute) An Individual Event, one participant per college. The participant is expected to speak for an entirety of 1 minute on a topic which will be given to them on the spot. The contestant must avoid stammering, repeating words and straying from the given topic, intervening during another contestant s turn without valid reason will result in negative marking. The contestant that can speak for an entire 1 minute without being interrupted will gain a JAM bonus. Judgement Criteria: Originality, Fluency, Content and Rapidity. Time: (Prelims): 10:00 A.M 11:30 A.M Venue: (Finals): 02:30 P.M 03:30 P.M (Prelims): S012 (Finals) : S012 4. GROOVE (Folk Dance) Team of 6-12 participants. The costumes and props must be brought by the participants beforehand. The organizers will not be held responsible for the loss of valuable belongings during or after the performance. The dancers are expected to avoid any sort of vulgarity on the stage or during the performance. The music must strictly be a FOLK SONG. Judgement criteria: Originality in Choreography, Synchronisation and Expression. Duration: 3+1 minutes.

Time: 09:30 A.M. 11:00 A.M. Venue: PRETORIUM 5. FLORISTRY (Flower Arrangement) A team of TWO. Flowers and essential decorative must be brought by the contestants, natural decorations are encouraged. Judgement Criteria: Teamwork, Presentation and Time Management. Duration : 1 hour Date : 11 November 2017 Time: 11:30 A.M. - 01:00 P.M. Venue : LOYOLA HALL 6. INSCULPT (Soap Carving) A team consisting of 2 members. The participants must carve the bar of soap that must be brought before hand. Only Wax Knives are allowed for safety purposes. Accessories can be used but they must not account for majority of the product. Judgement criteria: creativity, fineness and clarity Duration: 1 hour. Time: 01:30 P.M.-02:30 P.M. Venue: S201

7. MIX IT, FIX IT (Collage Making) 4 members make a Team. The participants must bring a full size Chart Paper, Glue Stick, Three Newspapers and Three Magazines. Crayons, Sketch pens, Watercolours to add effects and Scissors and scales cannot be used. Judgement criteria: content, abstract and display Duration: 1 hour. Time: 11:30 A.M- 01:00 P.M. Venue: S308 8. HOT SEAT (Quiz) 2 members make a Team. Once registered as a team exchanging of members will lead to disqualification. Only 6 Teams will get through the written Prelims and will attend the Oral Finals. Time: (Prelims): 10:00 A.M. 11:00 A.M (Finals): 03:30 P.M. 04:30 P.M. Venue: (Prelims): S004

(Finals) : LOYOLA HALL 9. CHATT-PATT VAANI (Kannada Extempore) Individual Competition. (One participant per college) The participant is expected to speak in Kannada only. A warning bell will be rung at the passage of 1 minute. Crossing the time limit will lead to negative markings. Any sorts of malpractice (Chits, Handwritten and seeking help from the audience) will lead to disqualification. Exchanging of topics is not allowed. Judges Decision will be final and binding. Judgement criteria: fluency, clarity of ideas, voice modulation and gestures Duration: 2 minutes Time: 12:00 P.M. 01:30 P.M. Venue: S402 10. SKETCH UP (Pencil Sketching) An Individual Event. (One participant per College.) Only papers will be provided, the required stationery must be brought by the participants. External references during the event will not be encouraged. The participants are to refrain from using colours. The THEME will be given on the spot. Judgement criteria: fineness, creativity and presentation Duration : 1 hour

Date : 11 November 2017 Time : 11:30 A.M. 12:30 P.M. Venue : S004 11. SYMPHONY (Singing) Bollywood Medley A team of 6-8 Members including the instrumentalists. The song lyrics must be memorised beforehand. The participants are allowed to prep up for their respective songs. The team is prohibited from using explicit songs. Only BOLLYWOOD songs are permitted. Musical Instruments are allowed, however they are not compulsory. Judgement criteria: clarity, synchronisation, melody Duration: 3 minutes Time: 02:00 P.M. 03:30 P.M Venue : LOYOLA HALL 12. GAME OF CLONES (Fancy Dress) Individual event (One participant per Institution) No Theme whatsoever. The participant must refrain from mocking any section of the society. Portrayal of negative characters like Beggars, Drunkards etc is prohibited and will not be entertained. The costumes must be Modest. Use of speech or any sort of presentation is not compulsory since the costumes must speak for themselves. Judgement criteria: concept, costumes, impersonation Duration: 2 minutes Time: 08:30 A.M. 09:30 A.M. Venue: LOYOLA HALL
