Our faculty represents world leaders in digital innovation across multiple disciplines. Chris Wasden, EdD He serves as the Executive Director of Sorenson Center for Discovery & Innovation, where he leverages 30 years of experience as a named inventor on 11 issued patents, serial entrepreneur on 10 venture and corporate startups, and past Global Healthcare Innovation Leader at PwC. He works with 400 students per year to support them in becoming world-class video game producers, developers, artists, and technologists.

Jeff Davis, CEO Leveraging his 23 years of leadership experience at Proctor & Gambles across multiple products Discover, Design and Develop through Program and geographies, he now is the founder and CEO of Molio, a revolutionary social media, marketing and video company. His unique approach to using digital technologies for marketing, promoting, branding, and selling new products results in unprecedented consumer adoption. Paul Brown, JD After serving as a senior executive at BlueCross BlueShield, he founded their $300 million venture fund and has evaluated thousands of digital health organizations and technologies, funded scores of these, and sits on nearly a dozen boards. He currently serves as the Sorenson Impact Investing Presidential Chair and is a professor in the Entrepreneurship & Strategy Department. Christine Chastain, PhD Her eclectic background in art, anthropology, language, social sciences, and technology has enabled her to become a global expert and leader in design thinking and human centered design. She travels around the world consulting organizations on how to leverage technologies to enable health systems and other organizations to deliver better consumer/patient experiences that deliver better outcomes at lower costs. 9

How do we do it? Our unique apprentice model enables us to match professionals in the DI Program with college students that help them co-create their digital innovations. This symbiotic relationship provides numerous benefits: (this should be a graphic of a feedback loop that shows the benefits to the professionals on the one side and the benefits to the student on the other) leverage time, resources, and creativity to the professionals to help them move farther and faster than they could on their own provides structure to the innovative process to ensure the efficient use of fast, frequent, frugal failure enables students to learn from the deep background knowledge and experience of the professional enables the student to experience first hand, as a critical actor, the business discovery and creation process 10 At the start of each DI Program, we match each professional with one or two students to create the startup team. Students get academic credit and are graded for participating in the DI Program. Each DI Program takes place over an 15 week semester.
