Name of Grant NJ Department Of Labor S4J13009 NJ Dept. of Labor The Casino Consortium grant includes three local casinos: Tropicana, Borgata, and Golden Nugget AC. Training under this grant will upgrade basic supervision skills for casino employees and will provide a path for articulation in Hospitality Management college classes. Emphasis is placed in culinary skills and sanitation for all three casinos. Over 1,100 employees will participate in classroom training. In addition to classroom training there is OJT reimbursement for over 2,000 employees. Goals of Grant The focus of the training is supervisory and management skills to better communicate with line employees with the opportunity to achieve college credits. Over 150 employees will improve their culinary proficiency in both restaurant and sanitation skills.
