Programme (the final programme may differ based on final attendance) : Tuesday October 6 th Location: Hotel de Biltsche Hoek, De Bilt 21:00 registration, buffet-dinner, welcome drinks Wednesday October 7 th Location: TNO-Quality of Life in Zeist 8:45 Welcome and Introduction to the programme 9:15 The Spanish Food Landscape and CDTI programmes, The Dutch Food Landscape and Food Nutrition Delta Funding possibilities for international co-operation among other, Eureka, Eurostars 10:00 Flash presentations around the theme: Rapid analyses to predict processing behaviour and product quality 11:15 Coffee break 11:30 Flash presentations around the theme: Food for product development: new technologies and ingredients. 12:45 Departure technical visits to companies/institutes. There will be multiple parallel visits. Depending on the registered parties the following themes are foreseen: - Production and Processing of meat products, animal breeding - Processing of vegetables and fruit - Food processing, ingredients 19:30 Return from technical visits, drinks (Restaurant of the future, Wageningen) 20:00 Networking dinner (buffet) with bilateral meetings in the Restaurant of the Future Each company or party will be scheduled to convenient table-partners. Thursday October 8 th Location: Conference Center Cinemec, Ede (near Wageningen) 8:45 Opening and introduction to the programme by Kees de Gooijer, director Food and Nutrition Delta and Roger van Hoesel, Managing director Food Valley 2 rounds of 5 parallel interactive sessions/workshops 9:00-10.00 1 st round of parallel workshop sessions: a) The European Funding tools: How to effectively utilize funding made available through the European Commission. FP7 (by EU commission and/or EGL) b) Interaction between International (a.o. ETP Food for Life, EuroAgri-Foodchain), National (national programmes) and Regional Food initiatives. c) How to cook up a project. What kind of possibilities are there in which phase and what kind of problems can you encounter? A discussion on the recipe and the ingredients (incl. Eureka, Eurostars). A representant from a company will take care of the main part of this workshop. d) Cluster related workshop: What are the necessary ingredients for a successful cluster, what will be the future of the clusters? e) SME participation in the European research area. Presentations of national EA Foodchain representatives of different countries (for example Spain, Portugal, Hungary and others) The role of ESE, ETP in this process. During the parallel workshops, it is still possible to meet and discuss with potential partners.
