CHILI COOK-OFF for Riverview P.R.O. Kids 2017 Harvest Festival Contest

2017 Contest Overview What is Riverview P.R.O. Kids? Each year, hundreds of Riverview kids are unable to participate in registered artistic, cultural and recreational activities, because their families cannot afford the costs. Registration fees, as well as equipment and transportation costs are beyond the reach of many families and their children miss out. Many children who would love to play a sport, attend classes or enroll in a summer camp are left watching from the sidelines. Wouldn't it be great if all children were able to participate in valuable recreation activities even if they are unable to pay? That's what P.R.O. Kids is all about! Quick Info: On Sunday, October 15 th from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. the Town of Riverview and Riverview P.R.O. Kids will be hosting an amateur Chili Cook-Off to raise money for Riverview P.R.O. Kids, as a part of the 8 th Annual Harvest Festival Family Day held in Caseley Park. We are looking for individuals, families, businesses and community groups to participate by entering the competition, serving up your chili to the public, as well as encouraging your family and friends to come out taste the chili and vote for their favourite entry! Prizes: This will be a judged competition: a panel of community judges will have a blind taste test to select the best chili. There will also be a people s choice award- ballots will be given out with the purchase of a tasting kit for $5.00 to all general public wishing to participate. There will be prizes to be won and of course bragging rights for the winning teams! Participant Prize- Feel good about your chili supporting the Riverview P.R.O.
