REGISTER TODAY at www.resolvethroughsharing.org About the Faculty Marie Walter, MS, RN, C-EFM, CPLC Clinical Nurse Specialist, Labor and Delivery Lead Educator, Resolve Through Sharing Gundersen Health System La Crosse, WI Marie worked as a clinical nurse specialist in the obstetrics department at Gundersen Health System for 35 years as part of an interprofessional team providing care to women with high-risk pregnancies. In February, 2016, Marie assumed the role of RTS lead educator. In 2015, Marie led the interdisciplinary team and developed protocols and standard operating procedures for implementation of the nitrous oxide pain management program in labor and delivery at Gundersen. Marie serves as Gundersen s liaison for perinatal palliative care and has been the chair of the Advanced Degree Nurse Committee for the past 10 years. As part of her inpatient responsibilities, Marie serves as the bereavement coordinator for her unit. In 2011, Marie received the Wisconsin Association of Perinatal Care President s Award for her commitment to the health of women and babies in Wisconsin. Education Credit Dr. Tim Cranfill, DMin, BCC Director of Pastoral Care Northeast and Mission Trail Baptist Hospitals Division of Mission and Ministry Regional Director of Bereavement Services, Baptist Health System San Antonio, Texas Tim s experience as a chaplain and an educator extends 20 years. He began his work at a large multi-site healthcare system in Atlanta, GA. From there he continued his chaplaincy service at the VA in Little Rock, AR and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In these facilities he served psychiatric, rehab, and medical oncology patients. Tim went on to work with a large pediatric facility where he spent 10 years working in pediatric oncology, pediatric intensive care, level one pediatric trauma, and an 89-bed NICU. Additionally, he held a faculty appointment at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences School of Nursing where he taught classes on end-of-life and grief and loss, and conducted pediatric post-conferences for student nurses. Tim completed his Master of Divinity in 1991 and his Doctor of Ministry in 2004. The subject of his dissertation was pediatric palliative care. He is currently completing a second doctorate in professional counseling. Tim joined the RTS National Faculty in 2017. He holds an adjunct faculty appointment in a graduate professional counseling program.
