eid 1.0 Lessons from the Nordic eid project: 1. National eid infrastructures are well organized. But there is a lack of Nordic interconnection. 2. National eid assurance policies differs much. eidas will not (in itself) lead to Nordic harmonization. Nordic cooperation on eidas implementation could facilitate provision of cross-border digital services Copyright 2017 2016 Nordic Innovation. All rights reserved. 6

eid 1.0 Lessons from the Nordic eid project: 3. All Nordic countries have a waiting room issue. The current procedures to provide a PID to a foreigner is often both lengthy and paper based. This call for sharing of PID information across Nordic borders. But national differences in information policies makes it difficult to retrieve information from other countries. Access to additional information for different services is complicated. 4. Nordic eid interoperability is made difficult by a lack of standards. The personal information varies from country to country. Copyright 2017 2016 Nordic Innovation. All rights reserved. 7
