Total number of candidates 951. availed the services Participants of the state government sponsored New Entrepreneur-cum- Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) beneficiaries numbering 41 and 20 college teachers who are the participants of the DST sponsored 2 week Faculty Development Programme in Entrepreneurship also witnessed the event. 9. Technical Sessions: These sessions were handled by industry experts who explained about the technical and soft skills required to become job ready. Mr. R.N. ni-msme, Hyderabad and implemented by CED (Tamil Nadu), Madurai. 2. As many as 951 youth submitted their profiles for employment. Some of them were also interested in self employment if they are taken in a Government Scheme with the provision of subsidy and other concessions. 3. As many as 40 business and commercial organisations participated in the event. Interviews were held and 12 candidates were invited to different companies for final interview. 4. A lesson was learnt through this exercise: The experiment may be replicated on a bigger scale as a mega talent event with the direct participation of Ministry of MSME, Government of India and that will motivate the industry and trade associations, such as, CII, TANSTIA, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other trade bodies to participate in the event. In such events, we can provide participation to the final year engineering, arts & science and polytechnic students. Four such events may be held in Tamil Nadu in 4 centres, i.e., Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Trichy every year. The other partner institutions also expressed the same view.
