PLANT TOURS MGA CAST STONE Established in 2000, MGA Cast Stone first started in the residential precast market. Gerry Hamann, working out of his garage, supplied customers with custom architectural precast pieces for their home and garden, and also developed his own line of precast fire rings and precast garden arbors. In 2005, demand increased for architectural precast on the commercial side of the business. Gerry saw the need for additional suppliers and began to change his business model and moved production out of the garage into a 12,000 square foot facility to meet the growing demand for precast. In 2011, MGA Cast Stone expanded once again into a 50,000 square foot facility to meet growing demand. MGA Cast Stone supplies architectural precast concrete and cast stone to customers throughout New England and the northeastern United States. THOS MOSER Tom Moser left teaching in 1972 to restore the lost art of fine woodworking by making one-of-a-kind furniture in an old Grange Hall in New Gloucester, Maine. There was no business plan, no product, no sense of marketing, and, to their banker s horror, no cash or cash flow. During the last forty-plus years, the company has grown from a one-man operation to nearly 70 cabinetmakers. In 1987 the company built a new workshop facility in Auburn, Maine, not far from its original New Gloucester location. After several expansions, they now have nearly 90,000 square feet of work space. In addition to mailing catalogs, Thos. Moser operates six showrooms located in Freeport (Maine), Boston, New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. 4
