Beta chapter will entertain MSP next semester in the Fall of 2012 for those aspiring in the fall Remember you are meeting what other men have met! When you re up against a trouble, Meet it squarely, face to face; Lift your chin and set your shoulders, Plant your feet and take a brace. When it s vain to try to dodge it, Do the best that you can do; You may fail, but you may conquer, See it through!
Verily the cement of sacrifice is the foundation of brotherhood Due$, Due$, Due$ I know I drive the being financial piece into the ground but it is just that critical. One of our chief sources of funding is dues. All can see the growth and development of this chapter over the past few years because collectively we have made a real effort at transparency. At the past Second District Winter Council Meeting we were acknowledged as the most active chapter in Corridor III!!!!! I would like to thank the Immediate Past Basileus Brother David "Solo" Thomas and the current Basileus Brother Leon Sullivan for making such transparency hallmark in their administrations. This transparency makes for good business and a real sense of inclusion. That s why I am proud to say I am ZII wherever I go because of the good works we do. As a new comer to ZII, I can say as many of us new comers and neophytes can, I have found a home. And as with any home we have housekeeping and maintenance. As your folks probably said upon graduation you cannot live anywhere rent free :-) We understand there are several brothers who are not in a position due to the current economic climate. And but for the grace of God there go I. May God bless them and make their time of difficulty easy. I have heard the grumblings of others who site various T o g e t h e r Le t U s Live shortcomings of our young chapter as the reason for their hesitancy. Let me say as in every family we may not like all members but we damn sure do love all members. And though we may fight internally no external force should penetrate our chapter's barrier of love and brotherhood. Not jealousy, envy nor a brother s faults should be cause enough to drive a wedge and tear us asunder! Our unity in brotherhood, deed and wealth is what fortifies us as a chapter. I have seen the overwhelming out pouring to our brethren in their time of lost and need over the past years because as any family we have and will experience such things. Let s not diminish our sacrifices and the pledge we took to be our brother s keeper and uphold the bonds of Omega. Please brothers show your commitment in both deed and financial resolve. Get those dues in. Do we utter from our mouths what is not in our hearts? 2

Zachary Rollins about chapter reservations Omega Psi Phi had previously established itself in the area in 1914 as the fraternity s first expansion chapter, Beta Chapter, at Lincoln University. Zeta Iota Iota Chapter was formed to serve as the graduate advisory chapter to Beta Chapter and the surrounding community. Zeta Iota Iota Chapter continues to serve the Philadelphia and Chester County of Pennsylvania in the 21st century. Zeta Iota Iota faced many challenges in the 90 s including inactivity. In the late 90 s the chapter began a slow reactivation process. With the reclamation of chapter brothers and the revitalization of the chapter a new line began. The chapter s first line of new brothers are known as: 6 UnconQUErable Souls 1. John Dee Mobley 2. Terrence Amir McKelvey 3. Aaron Henderson 4. Adrian Maurice Knight 5. Robert "Nate" Jamison 6. Kenneth Lloyd Hill Jr. The second line did not come until 2005 and they were called: Six Disciples of the Resurrection 1. Masai Skief 2. Donald Redmond 3. Leon Sullivan 4. Kennon Jenkins 5. Ron Keene 6. David Fields Five years later Zeta Iota Iota Chapter pledged its third group of initiates, who entered into Omega on November 28, 2009. They were known as the Seven Sons of Perseverance 1. David Dawson 2. Al Dorsey 3. Michael Roepel 4. Aaron Edwards 5. Rasheem Reese 6. Blair Frazier 7. Jerome Smith On November 12, 2011 at 8:18 p.m. six newly initiated members entered into the fold of Omega and the chapter of Zeta Iota Iota. They will forever be known as Six Centennial Soul Survivors. 1. Lawrence Bell 2. Prince Muhammad 3. Darriel Tynes 4. Eugene Butterfield 5. Keith Coleman 6. Le Jean Thompson The chapter has regular programs and activities throughout Philadelphia and Chester County such as our annual blood drive, HBCU Tour, our annual Langston Hughes Scholarship golf tournament as well as the adoption of Harambee Institute Charter School. Zeta Iota Iota Chapter is active and poised to grow into the future. 5
