RSO shall supervise setting of all T&E s and Tripods and report to the OIC. 3. Guns shall be laid in with a compass verified by the RSO. 4. Hose clamps shall be used as positive stops to prevent firing out of the approved SDZ. 5. All tripods shall be sandbagged. 6. All M249/M240G BZO and 10 meter qualification can use pallets set on the firing line. 7. Any engineer stakes used for pallets shall be placed on the outside edges of the pallets. 8. When conducting BZO for 7.62 unit shall place the targets on the firing line and back IAW TM s for BZO and 7.62mm qualifications. RANGE AND TRAINING REGULATIONS TOW/JAVELIN 1. All TOW/JAVELIN shots shall be conducted from the firing point. 2. OIC or RSO shall ensure that TOW/JAVELINE Gunners only engage authorized TOW/JAVELINE targets. 3. Only one vehicle/launcher shall be allowed on the firing line. 4. TOW wire shall be cut and recovered after firing is secured. Unit shall only engage targets utilizing the mortar data Card. 2. There is no troop penetration beyond the firing line or, into the impact area. Units are prohibited from crossing the firing line or, into the impact area to set up targets or aiming stakes. 3. Base plates and Aiming Stakes shall be left in place after registration. 4. Unit shall contact LONGRIFLE for permission prior to burning increments. 5. Unit shall have firefighting equipment at the burn site, and remain on site for 30 minutes after the last burn to ensure no fires start. 6. Unit shall not burn more than 100 increments at a time.
