1. GENERALITIES 1.Scope This Project HSE Plan defines the health, safety and environmental protection program to be implemented by STRUCTO during the phase of the contract. It defines the organization and arrangements to deliver the Plans requirements. It defines general rules and procedures implemented and developed in order to be respected and applied by all workers affected throughout the life of the project. 2.Objectives The plan clarifies and identifies: Subjects involved in the management of health, safety and environmental aspects during project activities; The project policy regarding health, safety and environmental protection. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ANALYSIS (H.I.R.A) Policy of Daily Meetings Meetings of five (5) minutes: the daily meeting is conducted on daily basis prior starting the job; this meeting is delivered by the supervisor on the plant on daily basis a report is delivered by the supervisor to the project coordinator covering the progress of project, QA/QC, the HSSE issues. Policy of Weekly Meetings Weekly meetings: Every week a security meeting will be conducted with the supervisors, it is issued by the project coordinator and QHSE onsite SHSP. At this meeting, we discuss the measures applied HSSE and looking for ways to improve our HSSE policy interventions and try to answer as many as possible the objectives of the Company. A report was presented by the project coordinator covering attendance and behavior of workers, the state of the PPE, progress against established objectives, HSE issues and other general information. Policy of a monthly meeting: A monthly meeting will be held and will join both representatives. According to this meeting a sharing experience and point of views will be discussed in order to evaluate the HSSE situation, to stress on goods actions and highlights issues to be improved all along with the BGT demand Manager and HSE member. Protective Footwear Safety Boots / Rubber Boots: BS 1870 Part 1-2&3 /EN345-1S3 Footwear should comply with the requirement and should be non-slip and be heat and fire resistant. Collective Protection Equipments (CPE): Nozzle Blast hoses, hose whips and couplings Where dry blasting is being conducted, an efficient means for the discharge of static electrical charge from the blast nozzle and the object being blasted must be provided. Abrasive blasting equipment must be fitted with a self-actuating cut-off device (Dead man control) under the direct control of the nozzle operator which can quickly stop the flow of abrasive material to the nozzle. The nozzle lining and threads should be checked for wear and damage. Use nozzle washers, Hoses or couplings should be purpose designed. Never exceed a blast hose's rated working pressure. Use safety cables to support the weight of elevated hoses. Check coupling fit. Ensure that the hose end fits uniformly flush with coupling shoulder Be sure nozzle holders and couplings fit snugly on the blast hose. Reject those that are loose Replace hoses that have a damaged outer cover Install, inspect, maintain and repair scaffolding in accordance with standards and regulations. They should fit the company s HSSE standars: Check the following before using scaffolding and inspect on an adequate basis: Scaffolds Ladders base is sound, level and adjusted, legs are plumb and all braces are in place, The use locking of ladders devices with broken and ties or are missing secured, rungs or steps, broken or split rails or other Defective construction is prohibited. Portable ladders must be equipped with safety shoes. Wooden ladders shall not be painted. Structo plane for generated waste materials will be disposedas follows : Temporary plan Structo will collect waste materials to designated area as per mobilization plan Final disposal Structo will collect waste materials from designated area by front loader and then waste materials will be transported by structo lorries to public dump. 9.
