QUALITY HIGHER EDUCATION 2011: Launch of the accreditation process by ANQA Institutional Study Programme 10 public and 6 private HEIs have already undergone institutional accreditation 1 out of which was granted accreditation for 6 years, 9 state and 1 private HEIs received accreditation for 4 years, 3 private HEIs received conditional accreditation for 2 years and 2 private universities were rejected in institutional accreditation. The Universities which are awarded institutional accreditation, are discussing the terms to launch cluster accreditation of their study programmes. American University of Armenia case

Proposals for cooperaction French University in Armenia (UFAR) www.ufar.am Joint project - Introducing Institutional Research for efficient university governance and quality improvement The project aims at bringing the partners from Armenia, Iran, China, Ukraine and Moldova which have a common intention to establish and/or to reinforce the analytical component and institutional research and planning in order to make the functioning of their institutions (or their main components) more efficient from the educational and administrative points of view, to better adapt to rapidly changing environment and, thus, contribute to the continuous improvement of quality. Project wider objective: To improve management practices and effectiveness within participating higher education institutions through Institutional Research and to increase the capacity on Institutional Research to enhance their overall organizational efficiency, regional and international development. Project specific objectives: Creation and operationalization of an Institutional Research department in the participating higher educations or in their units.
