Operations Plan 2009-2010 Institute of Industrial Engineers UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA Chapter #812

Strategic & Tactical Objectives The University of Florida Student Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers supplements the Industrial & Systems Engineering Department s educational curriculum by providing its members with professional development and networking opportunities. We strive to recruit and involve our members by hosting meetings featuring industry speakers, networking events with recruiters from companies seeking to hire for full-time or internship opportunities, and social events to attract new and existing members. Tactical objectives include but not limited to the following: Recruit new members by presenting to freshmen and sophomore level engineering students about IIE; Providing members with industry networking opportunities by getting industry recruiters to speak at general meetings, plant tours, and company information sessions; Involve members in IIE through paper competition, scholarship submission, regional conference attendance, and national conference attendance. 2
