Worked with Senator Byrd and his staffers to explain the historical significance of land-grant programs nationally and at West Virginia State College Acted as a liaison between the office of Senator Byrd and the United States Department of Agriculture Helped to draft language to amend West Virginia State University to the 1890 legislation that initiated the 1890 Land-Grant Institutions Attained $2,000,000 in initial land-grant funding from 4
