Permanent address Street/Route or PO City State Zip Local Phone: ( ) Cell: ( ) E-mail address: Mano a Mano Scholarship An Educational Scholarship Endowment Program Administered by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation The Mano A Mano Scholarship program was established by the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Flint Hills Resources to encourage students to complete high school and continue their education through college. Scholarships provided through the Mano A Mano Program will assist local students to achieve college degrees/certificates in technical fields of study relating to local employment which promote the growth of a local workforce, educated in the fields needed to fill job vacancies in the Corpus Christi area. This one year scholarship is available to high school seniors, students who have recently graduated, or hold a GED Certificate from any area high school. Also included are students who are currently attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution in Corpus Christi or Kingsville, Texas. Scholarship awards are given up to $2,000. Recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, be full time students and demonstrate a willingness to seek employment in the Corpus Christi area following graduation. Recipients may resubmit applications for subsequent years. Guidelines and Instructions: To be considered for a Mano A Mano Scholarship an applicant must: 1. Be a high school senior attending a high school in the Corpus Christi area OR Currently enrolled (or accepted) as a full student in an accredited educational institution in Corpus Christi or Kingsville, Texas. 2. Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA while completing at least 12 credit hours each semester while in college. 3. Demonstrate a willingness to seek employment in the Corpus Christi area following graduation. 4. Submit the following: Completed application form. For high school seniors: A copy of your high school transcript through fall semester of your senior year. For college students: Documentation of current enrollment in an accredited college in Corpus Christi/Kingsville and a copy of your college transcript through the Fall Semester.
