Wheelchair Area For your convenience, there are two areas set aside to accommodate members with wheelchairs, walkers, or other special space needs. Ushers are available to assist you to the following locations: Halfway down the middle and side isles on the lectern side of church, there is a pew with wheelchair space on either end. In the right half of the front row, also on the lectern side, there is a larger area with wheelchair space. There will be a few forms to fill out, so please allow enough time to complete these and leave them with us that evening. Depending on how much time you spend visiting friends and the teachers, you could be in and out in as little as 20 minutes. If you can t make it on August 5, please call the school office to make alternate arrangements. Constitution and By-Laws Copies of the newly updates Constitution and By-Laws are available on the table next to the Welcome Center. We would like each family to receive a copy of the new document. 3 & 4 yr-old Preschool Teacher Aide Opening Emanuel Lutheran School is in need of a teacher s aide to assist Mrs. Michelle Dobberstein in our 3 and 4 yr old programs. The aide position is for 20 hours per week (August 25, 2014 through May 29, 2015) and starts at $8.58/hour. (4K position - Monday Thursday 7:45-11:15 a.m.; 3P position - Tuesday & Thursday from 12:15-3:15 p.m.) We would prefer to have one individual that can fill both spots; but we are willing to consider applicants who can only fill one of the spots as well.) Please submit resumes to the Emanuel office, 200 E. Quincy Street, no later than Monday, August 11. More information or a job application can be found in the office. Thank you. Blood Drive Update Thank you to the 29 donors who attended the July 29 blood drive. This number is on the low end for us, but still respectable for a summer drive. Our next drive is set for Tuesday, September 23 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Please consider giving the gift of life - a gift no one wants to think about receiving, but so thankful it's there when needed. Congratulations to our prize drawing winners: Kathy Bellile- Nass, Delores Dean, Mary Dorschner, and Cris Ladwig. Lead Teacher Position St. Paul s Lutheran Child Center in Winneconne is looking to hire a lead teacher for our 4 & 5 year old classroom. Pay will depend on qualifications, between $11 and $11.70 per hour. Hours would be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm daily, with an additional hour of prep time each day. The appropriate candidate must be a WELS member with a preference of a Bachelors Degree in education. FVLHS Activities Registration is now open for the 2014-2015 FVL Schools Band Program! To register for the upcoming school year, simply go to the FVL Schools Band Program website at https://middleschoolband.fvlhs.org. Once there you will see more information about our program, and multiple areas where you can find the Registration Form. We will also be hosting our Beginner Camp, meant for all beginning band students regardless of grade, on August 11 and 12. All information for this camp is also on our website. All are invited to attend a special installation service held at FVL on Sunday, August 17 at 2:00 pm. This service, held in the Auditorium, will include the installation of Mr. Stephen Granberg, new FVL Principal, Mr. Adam Frey, FVL Faculty, Mr. Mark Krause, part-time Faculty, Mr. Alan Nolte, FVL Schools Curriculum Director, and Mrs. Anne Wilson, now a full-time faculty member at FVL. A light reception will follow the service. Come and celebrate with the FVL family as we welcome these new members to our staff. FVL will begin the school year with Orientation on Wednesday, August 20. Opening service will be on Thursday, August 21 at 8:00 am, followed by a schedule of mini-classes.
