Please clarify/inform the following- Justification for the proposed project/activity covered under category B of item 6(b) of the schedule to the EIA Notification, 2006 The Prior Environmental Clearance was obtained from MoEFCC vide EC Letter No. J.11011/69/2005-IA II(I) dtd. 17 th May 2006 for Laying of pipeline and Terminal facilities at Ratlam (attached as Annexure 1 ). Further, prior Environmental Clearance was obtained from SEIAA, Madhya Pradesh vide EC Letter No. 7633/SEIAA/2015 dtd. 13 th November 2015 for expansion of Terminal facilities at Ratlam under activity 6(b) - Isolated Storage (attached as Annexure 2). Now to meet the demand of the POL product to the end users, IOCL has proposed to enhance the POL storage capacity of the plant by constructing a. 2 X 10,000 KL MS Tanks, b. 3 X 20,000 KL HSD & c. 1 X 6,000 KL Biodiesel Tanks and d. 2 nd spur tank wagon railway loading/unloading facility, e. Product pump house for tank wagon unloading, f. New mechanized OWS/ETP. 2. Details of EC for the existing facilities at the Terminal 3. Year of establishment of the Terminal, supported with the Consent to Establish issued by the SPCB Thus the project falls under category B of item 6(b) of the schedule to the EIA Notification, 2006. 1. The Prior Environmental Clearance was obtained from MoEFCC vide EC Letter No. J.11011/69/2005-IA II(I) dtd. 17 th May 2006 for Laying of pipeline and Terminal facilities at Ratlam (attached as Annexure 1). 2. Prior Environmental Clearance was obtained from SEIAA, Madhya Pradesh vide EC Letter No. 7633/SEIAA/2015 dtd. 13 th November 2015 for expansion of Terminal facilities at Ratlam (attached as Annexure 2). The Ratlam terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Bangrod has been commissioned in the year 2009 with facility for receipt, storage and distribution of petroleum products. Consent to Establish was obtained from Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) on 22 nd December 2005 vide letter No. 2776/TS/MPPCB/2005 (attached as Annexure 3). Page 2 of 16
