Greetings, Grand Lodge ladies, wives & significant others, of Masons in Idaho. Please join us in this special Sesquicentennial (150 years) Celebration at the 150 th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Idaho in Boise, Idaho. We will start off with the Grand Masters Banquet, (invitation only) Wednesday, September 20 th at 6pm, with a social hour and 7pm dinner. Attire: Men: Tux & Women: Formal. Thursday morning is Public opening of Grand Lodge at 8am. (GLO) Tux & Ladies dress or nice pants suit. Idaho Wine Country-A True GEM in the State! Idaho has been called the new frontier of grape-growing areas in the US! (This is ironic, as the first wineries in the Pacific Northwest were located in Idaho, with the first grapes planted in Lewiston in 1864!) Wine grapes are grown throughout the state, but the biggest GEMS are just a short ride away from us in the Snake River Valley Region American Viticulture Area (AVA) designated in 2007, and the Eagle Foothills AVA which was designated as a sub-ava in 2015. Join us for an afternoon of fun on the frontier as we board a modern Horse drawn Carriage and head west for a winery tour, tasting, and light lunch. We ll be visiting two family owned and operated boutique wineries on the Sunny slope Wine Trail: Indian Creek and Vizcaya Wineries. Experience for yourself why Idaho wines have been discovered across the country and rank 22 nd in the nation! We ll depart the hotel at 10:30 am and return no later than 3 pm in time to rest and get ready for the Thursday night Sesquicentennial celebration. Friday morning, 8am, Public Memorial Service. Then at 11:30 am to 1:30pm the Ladies Luncheon will take place in the Peregrine room. Dressy Casual. Public Installation of Officers at 4pm, and following that is the Friday night no host social hour at 6pm and the Membership Banquet at 7pm. (Dress, Business Formal). Saturday afternoon in the park at Idaho City will be a Celebration and Bar-B-Q. Please join us in all of the festivities we are planning for you. Cordially Yours, Grand Lady Helen Hensley 2016-2017
