Organisation of Europe meets School Participants: European students from all fields of study Schools of all types Time frame: October June Project scope: 3 5 visits to the class Project realisation: In close cooperation of teacher and student Preparatory educational services; Tutoring by team of volunteers Dissemination: Presentation of project results at a public event Acknowledgement: Certificate and financial lump sum / ECTS 6

The programme coordination: Funding and coordination BMBF & DAAD Since 2009 the programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The DAAD set up a coordination office for the programme. Since then Europa macht Schule is coordinated by full-time staff (3x) in the National Agency at DAAD Due to this systematic funding and coordination Increasement of the numbers of the programme Ensurance of quality Development of programme 7

Cooperation with Local EmS Teams and voluntary association Europa macht Schule e.v. Local EmS Teams and the association are the heart of the programme: Tasks of the voluntary association Europa macht Schule e.v. Development of programme, implementing new ideas (e.g. educational strategies) Organising annual volunteer meetings for programme improvement Support launching of European locations Assistance and support of volunteer teams Tasks of the Local EmS Teams Programme implementation and coordination Organise opening and closing event Monitor the projects Main contact for participants and teachers 9

Cooperation with International Offices International Offices are important partners in the realisation of the programme. The following contributions help to foster its success: Motivate former outgoing Erasmus+-students to volunteer in the implementation of the programme Motivate incoming Erasmus+-students to participate in the programme Provide rooms for the implementation of the programme Transform or help transforming the programme idea into a seminar for incoming students 10
