1-INTRODUCTION Since its creation in Brazzaville in 1996 during the 1 st Conference on Central African Moist Forest Ecosystems (CEFDHAC), the participants at this Conference mandated the World Conservation Union (IUCN) Regional Office for Central Africa to act as its Secretariat General. After becoming the Facilitating Agency in June 2002 in Kinshasa during the 4 th CEFDHAC Conference, the IUCN has continued to support this Process.
