Current Status Business Incubation Centre, Kathmandu (BICK) Incubatees Undergoing incubatee selection process Call for proposals was made 39 proposals were received ICT 18% Agro-based 15 % Herb based 13 % Handicrafts 18% Energy Related 18 % Others (mineral, multimedia etc.) 18 % Short listing of 15 proposals Workshop for short listed incubatees Detailed proposals were submitted and finalizing of selected incubatees in process

BICK - Lessons Learnt Extensive promotional activities are required to aware prospective incubatees Confidence & credibility of Incubators needs to be raised to attract incubatee with great potential enterprise

Concluding Remarks More incubation centers needs to be established Umbrella organizations of SMEs like FNCSI and academia such as Kathmandu & Tribhuwan Universities are interested in setting up incubators Crucial support from bi-lateral and multi-lateral donor agencies is sought
