THE BULLETIN American Legion Paso Del Norte Post 58 Jose Ontiveros Commander Charles Moore - Adjutant Volume 61 Issue No. 9 June 2017 From the Commander: First, I would like to thank all the members of American Legion Post 58 for all your hard work helping me and the officers who continue to helping us grow our post membership, I am happy to inform you we have once again made our 100%, but a friendly reminder, if you have not renewed your membership please do so as we are approaching our cut off for the year. On May 17, 2017 we had Noah Van Atta (Coronado HS), Lorenzo Rivera (Del Valle HS) and Jesus Chavez (Andres HS) come to our general membership meeting to introduce themselves and their parents to our membership, a big congratulation for making the selection to Boys State. We also hosted Boys State selectees from several El Paso American Legion Posts and their families on Saturday May 20, 2017 feeding them hamburgers and hot dogs during the orientation which was conducted by our Americanism Chairman/Chaplain Renslar Keagle who did an awesome job. I also want to thank all the volunteers who assisted us in making this happen, it was educational to us and the families preparing them for their trip to Boys State, again, thanks couldn t have done it without all your hard work. June 7, 2017 is our Executive Board Meeting and on Jun 17, 2017 we will be having our Father s Day Sirloin Steak dinner from 4pm -7pm, so please bring your fathers to enjoy a free meal, unfortunately everybody else will have to pay $7.50 per plate.
