UPGRADING FROM NEM Upgrade from an existing NEM system. Handheld sub station Original system (NEM system) Privacy is diff icult to maintain using ceiling sub station. NIM system The handheld sub stations are equipped with a microphone and speaker, enabling communication with individual patients.
