North Texas Patriot Guard Riders Sgt Allen Levi Stigler Jr KIA Killed In Action Mission Summary Military Branch: Classification: United States Army KIA Service: Obituary: Sergeant Allen Levi Stigler, Jr., was born July 21, 1995 in Arlington, Texas to Allen Levi Stigler, Sr. and Hope Ellington. He confessed Christ at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, and was baptized on February 3, 2008. He graduated from Mansfield Timberview High School in June of 2013 and enlisted in the United States Army in November of that that same year. He completed boot camp/training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was assigned the 2nd battalion, 319 Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. AJ, as he was affectionately called, was a loyal and courageous Soldier. He served in South Korea from May 2014 to June 2015. His first combat deployment was to Iraq, where he was actively serving at the time of his transition. While serving he received the following awards: Army Commendation Medal with C Device, the National Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and the Parachutist Badge, also being promoted to Sergeant. He also received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal and Combat Action Badge, posthumously. Prior to leaving home for the military, he lived with his father, Allen, Sr. Pops and his loving step-mother, Leslie Stigler. He loved spending time with his family and friends. AJ also loved playing basketball and working out.
On Sunday, the Thirteenth of August, Two Thousand Seventeen, Sergeant Allen Levi Stigler, Jr. transitioned from time into eternity. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hope Ellington; greatgrandfather Sergeant Major Stellivan Sherrod; great-grandmother, Eva Britt; grandfather, Bennie Stigler; aunts, Gloria Stigler and Bennie Polite and uncle, Miker Stigler. Left to mourn his passing are: his father, Allen Levi Stigler, Sr. and wife, Leslie; four sisters, Faith Moore, Matasha Stigler, LaTosha Nunn and husband, Cedric, and LaShonda Stigler; greatgrandmother, Gladys Sherrod; grandmothers, Valerie Carter and husband Andre, Jessie Stigler; step-siblings, Robert Davis, III., Brooke Boyd, Erykah Jackson; nephews and nieces, Cedric Nunn, Jr., Cedeno Hunter, Jr., Namontria Cupp, Saniya Williams, Samyra Williams, A mora McDonald, Zuri McDonald and a host of other friends and relatives.
