Katharina Schindler, Upper Is Cove Company 111. Put The Child First The CLB Regimental Band will be holding a Put The Child First session on April 11, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Band Room at the Armoury. Adult leaders who have not done a PTCF session during this current training year, especially those who may be attending Summer Camp, are encouraged to attend this session. 112. W & NCO Proficiency Phase III W & NCO Phase 3 evaluations will be held on Sat April 16, 2016 from 9am till 2pm at the Armoury, for both Drill and Written components. 113. Summer Camp 2016 Summer Camp Dates for 2016 are as follows: SC Camp July 2-9, 2016 and JTC Camp July 9-16, 2016. The Summer Camp Applications package were included with ch Orders. Deadline for the submission of all applications to Lt. Jamie Peddle is April 30, 2016. This is a firm deadline. Any applications that are submitted after this date will not be accepted. It is also very important for all Company Commanders to ensure that all members are adequately informed of Camp details. We do not want any youth members to miss out on this great experience for any reason. Thanks are extended to both 2/Lt. Justin Evans and Captain David Evans for organizing such great Summer Camps last year. This year we are currently looking for a Camp Commandant for JTC Camp. Anyone who may be interested in taking on this role please advise Lt. Jamie Peddle as soon as possible. 114. Colonel s Award All Companies are reminded of the May 15, 2016 deadline for applications for the Colonel s Award. This is awarded to one youth member per company. Please see application form included with these Orders. Completed applications are to be forwarded to Major Ron Coish rfmajor@theclb.ca. 115. Bishop s Badge Application for the Bishop s Badge and the criteria for awarding same are included with these Orders. Deadline for applications is June 30, 2016.

116. CLB Old Comrades Scholarship Company Commanders are reminded of the CLB Old Comrades Association Lodge 1 annual scholarship valued at $1000.00. This scholarship is available to the successful Senior Corps member who is a Grade Twelve (Level 3) student entering a post-secondary educational institution this year. A copy of the application form is attached to these Orders. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2016. 117. Colonel Ash Awards Companies are reminded that points can be awarded for all Senior Corps badge components (Christian Knowledge, First Aid, Fire Safety, Hunter Safety, etc.), based on per cent of completion within the SC section. Companies are encouraged to report all badges that are awarded in the Senior Corps, to ensure maximum points are applied for the Colonel Ash Awards. 118. Police Screening Certificates Please note the application process for Police Screening Certificates for CLB Adult Leaders has been transferred from Armoury staff to the CLB Records Officer. Completed applications can be mailed to the CLB address P.O. Box 28126, St. John s, NL A1B 4J8 or Major Ron Coish, 6 Wilcox Place, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 3B7 or dropped off at the Armoury office. Once an initial Police Screening Certificate has been received from the RNC, subsequent renewal certificates will be processed by the CLB Records Officer on a three-year basis. For out-of-town leaders under the jurisdiction of the RCMP, you can still apply on an individual basis (or several at a time through your CLB Company) to your local RCMP Detachment. The CLB Records Officer can provide a letter requesting waiver of the application fee. 119. W & NCO s Mess The existing furniture in the W & NCO s Mess at the Armoury has reached the end of its useful life and is being discarded. If you know of anyone who may have used chesterfields, sofas, couches, or easy chairs in good condition that they would like to donate to the Mess, could you please contact Lt. Colonel Gail Dick at 576-7634 or gaildick@nl.rogers.com 120. CLB Lapel Pin The CLB Regimental Band has for sale CLB Lapel Pins at $7.50 ea. This is a beautiful rendition, similar to our CLB metallic cap badge, with a dual clutch fastener on the back. Please see attached picture included with these Orders. Spring Parade This year s spring parade will take place in Upper Gullies to St. Peter`s Church on Sunday May 29, 2016. Transportation will be provided to the parade for companies outside the CBS Area. As the parade is later than traditionally held, all companies are ask to notify their members as soon as possible to ensure a good turn out. More Details to follow. This year`s parade will be from Parson`s & Sons Transportation, Route 60, CBS Highway to St. Peter`s Church, Upper Gullies. 124.
