Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex Sound Study Program Objectives: To perform an acoustic study that will determine the impact of the addition of a sound system to the Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex in regards to the Longley Jones Springfield Gardens Apartment Complex along Springfield road and the surrounding community adjacent to the currently under construction Soccer Field. Overview Beickert Audio will be setting up audio test equipment for signal generation, program playback and test measurement at two separate locations Beickert Audio will be recording all measurements into spreadsheet format All measurements will be acquired utilizing precision instrumentation which meet the latest standards and factory specifications. The data collected will then be analyzed to determine the acoustical conditions at the test locations under study Beickert Audio will produce an Engineering Report that will compile all of the data gathered from our testing and give a narrative based on the findings. Acoustics Testing All audio testing procedures are detailed in the TerraSonde_Audio_Toolbox.PDF Located at: http://ronhaines.net/lemoyne/terrasonde_audio_toolbox.pdf Test 1 - Temperature Test 2 Humidity Test 3 Noise Criteria Test 4 Afternoon Sound Study Test 5 Evening Sound Study Test 6 All Day Sound Study Identify Acoustic Problems Potential acoustic anomalies are identified in order to help determine each component of your acoustical environment and how the different parts affect the overall noise environment.

le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr Athletic Complex Sound Study Acoustic Modeling Update Model to reflect Data Gathered from Acoustic Study Computer Modeling and sound System Design using more speakers, less speakers and speakers oriented away from Longley Jones Springfield Gardens Apartment Complex. We will review all suggested speaker layout to determine what the best speaker layout is to minimize the impact of a sound system to potentially be installed at the Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex. Beickert Audio will update our existing model of the Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex with real world data gathered from our acoustic study. With this updated model we will run simulations on the following: Use existing sound system design. Run Simulation of Design in updated Acoustic Model. Prepare a narrative of predicted results with respect to acoustics and logistics and as well as fiscally. Design sound system with loudspeakers placed closer together and using more loudspeakers. Run Simulation of Design in updated Acoustic Model. Prepare a narrative of predicted results with respect to acoustics and logistics and as well as fiscally. Design sound system with loudspeakers placed farther apart and using fewer loudspeakers. Run Simulation of Design in updated Acoustic Model. Prepare a narrative of predicted results with respect to acoustics and logistics and as well as fiscally. Design sound system using best of the above designed systems (based on spacing) with speakers orientated away from Springfield Road and amount and locations of loudspeakers adjusted to achieve appropriate coverage. Run Simulation of Design in updated Acoustic Model. Provide a narrative of predicted results. Design sound system using more speakers. Prepare a narrative of predicted results Model with Speaker orientated away from Longley Jones Springfield Gardens Apartment Complex. Provide narrative of predicted results

Program Summary The emphasis of this program is to provide the acoustical engineering necessary to define the existing environmental conditions with and without the addition of a sound system to the Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex. The concern is additional noise pollution entering the Longley Jones Springfield Gardens Apartment Complex and surrounding community adjacent to Le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland le Moyne College Thomas J. Niland Jr Athletic Complex Sound Study Engineering Report Beickert Audio will prepare a final report documenting existing acoustic conditions and as well as predicted results after implementation of Beickert Audio recommendations. *Once Sound system is implemented Beickert Audio can measure the actual noise levels to verify if the sound system has met the prediction in the final report on a time and material basis. Sample Engineering Report: http://ronhaines.net/lemoyne/01_le_moyne_engineering_report.pdf Jr. Athletic Complex on Springfield Road and its surrounding community rated. And the effects of this noise pollution. In addition, we may make equipment and installation recommendations based on our findings.
