Eighty students in 5th and 6th grade traveled to Philadelphia on Thursday, April 13th for a class field trip. The weather was perfect for walking around historic Pennsylvania. Students toured the Ben Franklin Museum, ate lunch in the courtyard outside of the Ben Franklin Museum, toured Independence Hall at Congress Hall, visited the Liberty Bell and gift shop, and enjoyed the beautiful weather on the grass in front of Independence Hall. Students, teachers, and parent volunteers learned so much about Ben Franklin, Pennsylvania, and how our country started. Third and Fourth grade trip to the Capitol 3rd and 4th grade students took a field trip to Harrisburg to tour our state's Capitol Building. First, they visited the Welcome Center at the Capitol Building where students learned, played games, and explored all things Pennsylvania. Then students took a tour of the building. During the tour students were able to see the Capitol Rotunda, the Moravian Tiles, the Senate Chamber, the famous stained glass windows, and the House of Representatives Chamber. After the Capitol Building students headed over to the Hershey Chocolate Factory where they learned about the process of making chocolate.
