This supplement applies to all military members assigned to Nellis AFB (including geographically separated Nellis AFB units and detachments), Creech AFB and tenant units, as well as Air Force Reserve (USAFR), Air National Guard (ANG) units and those members on temporary duty (TDY) orders. Failure to observe the provisions of this supplement by active duty Air Force members, USAFR members on active duty or inactive duty for training, or ANG members in Federal service is a violation of Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Violations of these provisions can be prosecuted under Article 92 of the UCMJ, as well as any other applicable articles of the UCMJ, when appropriate. This supplement does not address the wear of combat uniforms or equipment. Authorization of wear of combat uniforms in a training environment or in-garrison resides at the HAF level. Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Disposition Schedule (RDS) located in the Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS).

SUMMARY OF CHANGES This document is substantially revised and must be completely reviewed. This version changes paragraph numbers to conform to the new basic instruction, and the ACC supplement.

2.6.8.1. (Added) Wear of personal hydration system is authorized with the Airman Battle Uniform (ABU), and flight duty uniform (FDU) while on home station from the first day of April to the last day of October. Hydration systems will be black, olive drab, sage green, desert camouflage or woodland camouflage. 2.8.4.1. (Added) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Motorcycle, ATV and Three- Wheeled vehicle riders are to be worn only while operating the vehicle. 2.8.11.1. (Added) When to Wear Headgear. See Attachment 9 for listing of approved No Hat areas. 2.13.8. (Added) Operators are expected to return their uniform to the standard configuration/combination (put on or remove PPE) within 6 feet of the vehicle. 2.13.8.1. (Added) Pumping gas without removing PPE is authorized, when paying at the pump. 2.13.9. (Added) Members assigned to Nellis or Creech AFB (in any status, including TDY or transient) are prohibited from gambling in off-base establishments while in military uniform. 6.5.2.1.1. (Added) The wear of unit emblems is authorized on the T-shirt. See Attachment 10 for listing of approved T-shirt emblems. 6.5.2.3.1. (Added) Turtleneck T-shirts are authorized with the ABU, AFU, FDU, and DFDU only from the first day of October through the last day of March. 8.4.5.1.2. (Added) Approved morale nametags for Nellis and Creech personnel are authorized for wear on Fridays within all Nellis/Creech locations, regardless of base of assignment. See Attachment 11 for approved FDU/DFDU Nametags. 8.4.10.1. (Added) See Attachment 12 for listing of approved Neckwear. 9.1.1.1.1. (Added) The Navy watch cap, olive green, or sage green winter cap is authorized from the first day of October through the last day of March. Secure the pile (fur) ears in the up position or fasten under the chin. During inclement weather the cap may be worn over the ears. 9.1.1.2.1. (Added) Wearing of coveralls with black safety boots is authorized when issued at Nellis or Creech AFB by an organization commander. The wear of PT shorts under coveralls is authorized during extreme temperatures. At Nellis AFB, they may only be worn in the work area or when transitioning between work areas on the east side of Tyndall Avenue. 9.1.1.3.1. (Added) Wearing of the flight jacket, standard length parka, or short parka by non-flying personnel is authorized when issued at Nellis or Creech AFB by an organization commander. The APECS jacket designed for wear with the ABU or flight duty uniform is authorized for wear on Nellis and Creech AFBs. (Exception: Food Service Airmen are authorized to wear APECS with the chef white uniform.) Grade insignia will be worn on the rank tab on the front of the jacket. 9.1.1.4.1. (Added) Winter flight clothing authorized when issued at Nellis or Creech AFB by an organization commander. 9.1.1.5.1. (Added) Reflective tape, jackets, and arm bands are authorized when issued at Nellis or Creech AFB by an organization commander. 9.1.1.6.1. (Added) ABU floppy hat is authorized on the flight line, Live Ordnance Loading Area (LOLA), Munitions Storage Area (MSA), and railhead munitions receiving area in order

to provide protection from the intense desert sun from the first day of April through the last day of September. On the flight line and LOLA, the nylon chin cord will hold the hat securely in place at all times. Exception: the ABU floppy hat will not be worn within 25 feet of any operating aircraft engine. Under no circumstances will the ABU floppy hat be worn outside the flight line, LOLA, MSA, or railhead munitions receiving area. 9.1.1.6.2. (Added) ABU floppy hats will not be rolled, tucked or otherwise formed (Ranger Roll and other adjustments are not authorized). Hats will be worn in their natural form. 9.1.1.7.1. (Added) Safety boots are authorized when issued at Nellis or Creech AFB by an organization commander. 9.1.1.8. (Added) Sports and Fitness Center personnel are authorized to wear brown khaki slacks, blue polo shirts with the Air Force logo, and black sneakers. See Attachment 13 for specific combinations. 9.1.1.9. (Added) Within the dining facility, the food service dial thermometer may be exposed when carried in the compartment of the left pocket of the food service uniform. 9.2.11. (Added) When wearing the Blue Polo Shirt with the AF Logo, the following applies; see Attachment 13 for approved combinations: 9.2.1.1.1. (Added). It must be tucked in. 9.2.1.1.2. (Added) The last button on men's shirt must be fastened. 9.2.1.1.3. (Added) The last two buttons on women's shirt must be fastened 9.2.1.1.4. (Added) The name tag will be worn on the upper right chest, grounded parallel to text of USAF logo, centered midway between the shoulder seam and the closest edge of the center placket. 9.2.1.1.5. (Added) The Services badge is optional with this shirt. 9.2.1.2. (Added) Customs and Courtesies.

9.2.1.2.1 (Added) Military personnel are required to render the same customs and courtesies as they would in their standard military uniform. 9.2.1.2.2. (Added) When wearing off duty, the fitness uniform will maintain the same guidelines as the wear of the military uniform with regard to wearing the uniform to offbase establishments (i.e., farewell luncheons are authorized, as well as brief stops on the way to and from the duty station).
