Proposal for Supporting Industries The objective is to have a group of supporting industries to EAAP activities offering them the possibility to receive services from EAAP in change of a fixed amount of support every year. The supporting industries will be named Friends of European Animal Scientists (or Friends of European Animal Science, or Friends of EAAP ) It will be offered the possibility to support EAAP also through Service EAAP S.r.l. if they will find this possibility more administratively feasible The group of supporting industries will be layered in three types of friends: silver level, gold level and diamond level It is offered a discount if the sponsoring industry will agree for a four years period EAAP will offer the service to facilitate contacts with animal scientists around Europe through service of consultancy to furnish names of relevant experts in the different fields of animal science Creation of a permanent Board of Industries within EAAP with the objective to inform, influence, lobbying the scientific and organizational actions of EAAP, like proposing choices of the scientific sessions and invited speakers and with the priority to propose industry representatives for the Study Commissions Organization of targeted workshops, proposed by industries (EAAP can organize the workshop, disseminate the news, invite speakers, publishing proceedings and mainly give relevance to the workshops) EAAP can represent and lobby activities the supporting industries toward international legislative and regulatory organizations EAAP can facilitate the supporting industries to enter in consortia dealing with supported international research projects The supporting industry must agree to the EAAP Sponsoring Code of Practice EAAP is responsible to find agreements with the relevant organizations (like the annual organizing committee) to offer the planned services to industries Furthermore EAAP offers, depending to the level of support: Free entrances to the EAAP annual meeting, the sponsoring industry will be free to decide the recipients of the free entrance Gala dinner invitation, the sponsoring industry will be free to decide the recipients of the gala dinner Free registration to journal animal Inclusion of industry advertisement in the EAAP Newsletter Inclusion of industry advertisement in the banner of the EAAP website Inclusion of industry advertisements in the Book of Abstract and in the Programme Booklet of the EAAP annual meeting Inclusion of industry leaflets in the annual meeting package Presence of industry logos and/or advertisements on the slides between presentations at selected standard sessions Presence of industry logos and/or advertisements on the slides between presentations at the Plenary Sessions Public Recognition by the EAAP President at the Plenary Opening Session of the annual meeting Free or discounted stands at the EAAP annual meeting
Invitation to meetings (at every annual meeting) to discuss joint strategy EAAP/Industries with the EAAP President, Vice President for Scientific affair, Secretary General and other selected members of the Council and of the Scientific Committee The services for Friends of EAAP are: Industry Friends of EAAP Silver Level One free entrance to the EAAP annual meeting One gala dinner invitation Inclusion of industry advertisement in 10 issues of the EAAP Newsletter (the issues of the Newsletter or the period of publication of the Newsletter will be decided by the industry).
