The dinner will start at 6:30 and we will be ordering from the menu, which is available online at www.limousinesbyatouchofclass.com. A count of those that are planning on attending is needed and if you can t be at the November 15 th meeting please call Dick Wilt at 842.4041 in the evening. CLUB DUES A reminder to all club members that the dues for 2006 are due in December. The dues are $12 for a single membership or $18 for a family member ship. OCTOBER CLUB MEETING The October 20 th meeting of the Stonewall Jackson Amateur Radio Association began with acceptance of the minutes from the 1
September meeting as stated in the newsletter. The Treasurer was absent and no report was given. A discussion about the state tax fee and domain registration fee followed and Dick Wilt was to check on these two items. Next was the nominating committee s report and recommendation for election of officers for 2006 and 2007. Roland Kniceley is to contact the Red Cross about a class. The club was asked for volunteers to help with communications for the Veterans Day Parade on the 11 th. Charles G. Cottrill SK KA4QWH Chuck Charles G. Cottrill, 53 of S. Maple Avenue, Laurel Valley, Clarksburg, passed away on November 10, 2005, in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. Mr. Cottrill was employed as a truck driver with H& W Trucking. He was born in Clarksburg January 17, 1952, a son of the 2
late Burl Cottrill and Mabel W. Cottrill, who survives in Salem. Also surviving are his fiancee, Gloria Ware, Laurel Valley: one sister, Connie Sue Kamensky and her husband, Edward L. Kamensky, Nimitz, WV.; one niece, Crystal Marie Kamensky, also of Nimitz, WV. Chuck was a lifetime member of Clarksburg Aerie No. 2353 Fraternal Order of Eagles and Meuse Argonne Post 573 VFW and a 4_H All Star. Chuck was also a member of the Stonewall Jackson Amateur Radio Association. He has held the Amateur Radio License and callsign KA4QWH. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt 98, Clarksburg, Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, at 11 AM at the Davis Funeral Home. The Reverend Ryan E. Wagers will officiate. Interment will be in the Florral Hills Memorial Gardens. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Color Guard. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.davisfunerals.com. NEXT CLUB MEETING The next regular club will be on November 17 th, 7:30 PM. The meeting will be at the regular meeting place, St. Marks Lutheran Church on Rt. 19 South of Clarksburg.
