Page Page 2 2 Comments from the Sr. Vice Commandant Happy New Year to all! The LASHUP With the turning of the calendar, many people make resolutions. I would like all of you to make a resolution for your Detachment. Please resolve to participate in or attend at least ONE Detachment function a month or even a quarter. I feel that if all members just gave time once a month or once every four months, the Detachment can become a better and stronger organization for everyone. Don t forget the Mid Winter National Conference is coming up soon. It is the weekend of February 12th - 14th at the Fairview Park Marriott, 311 Fairview Drive, Falls Church, VA. This is only a 2-3 hour drive from Harford County and is a good way to see how a National Conference is held, especially if you do not plan on attending the National Convention in Phoenix this year. A bonus is that this is the ONLY Kennel growl that any Devil Dog can attend! So bring your Pups and Devil Dogs to join the PDDs for a fun growl with members from around the country! We also have the Sip & Paint Fundraiser coming up on the 31st. There are seats available, so be sure to contact me if you would like to create your own work of art to hang in your home. The position for Detachment Adjutant The Bel Air Gun show at the Armory is the weekend of February 6th - 8th. We always do well selling gun raffle tickets at this event. I will be sending out a sign up for this soon. I hope everyone stays bundled up and doesn t hurt themselves shoveling snow! Soon it will be spring and we can get rid of all these layers and enjoy the warmth and sun again. Semper Fi, Evie Remines Sr. Vice Commandant Comments from the Jr. Vice Commandant I fope all is well with You and Your Family as the New Year is off and running. Hope to see every at the meeting..
