Sweeney, PhD., Colonel, U.S. Anny, is currently serving as an associate professor and director of the Eisenhower Leader Development Program in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership, United States Military Academy, West Point. He commanded the 3rd Battalion, 320 Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division, and served with the 101st during Operation Iraqi Freedom 1. Michael D. Matthews, Ph.D., is currently professor of engineering psychology at the, West Point. He served as president of the American Psychological Association's Division of Military Psychology from 2007 to 2008 and is a Templeton Foundation Senior Positive Psychology Fellow. His research focuses on soldier performance in combat and other dangerous contexts. Paul B. Lester, Ph.D., Captain, U.S.Anny, is currently serving as a research psychologist for the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Directorate at Headquarters, Department of the Anny. His previous military assignments include Ft. Benning, Ft. Campbell, Republic of Korea, the, Iraq, and Afghanistan. 393
