Other papers include a document certifying Weathersby s completion of requirements to become a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Pineville, La. (1912), a citation of merit honoring the retiring Dean Weathersby (1956), a resolution offered by the students of Louisiana College honoring Weathersby for his years of service (1956), and an honorary degree and meritorious services award presented to Weathersby (1956). Other items include two research papers by Weathersby, The Relations of Thomas Hart Benton and Andrew Jackson and The Negro Part in Reconstruction Louisiana, 1864-1868 (undated), and a photograph of the ceremony presentation of Weathersby s honorary degree (1956).
