In addition to the existing "Power Alley" firms along the Front Range, our community is located in close proximity to a diverse and dynamic intellectual resource population; 4 major Universities (CSU, CU Boulder, Colorado School of Mines and University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus). Support and carry Broomfield's application(s) for grants and loans under the bill. If the bill doesn't pass, our request is for support in obtaining an earmark for the creation of common research facilities in North Park under other federal programs. Focus venture capital opportunities on the Applied Research and Science Park; and, Support for research and development funding - obtaining federal NIH and other Federal research grants will be requested. Support requests to the Federal Government for grant and other funding opportunities. Explore new and innovative State financial support programs that target Applied Research and Science Park users, including university programs and their business partners. State based programs that provide both "bridge" loans to fund preparation of grant applications and "matching fund" programs for research focused businesses to leverage the impact of both federal grants received and private funds invested in cutting-edge technology in the state.
