2 WOCN 2016 REGISTRATION BROCHURE THIS MEETING IS DESIGNED FOR nurses and health professionals who are interested in wound, ostomy and continence issues.

2016 WOCN Society & CAET joint conference goals 1. Create awareness of the socioeconomic and global issues influencing the patient, family and care provider(s) across the healthcare continuum. 2. Empower the leadership role of the WOC/ET nurse through education, advocacy, research, marketing and legislation. 3. Provide research and evidence-based knowledge of the latest techniques, applications, technologies and treatments related to wound, ostomy and continence issues. 4. Promote networking with colleagues to establish a more integrated community of health care providers caring for patients with wound, ostomy and continence issues. Continuing Nursing Education The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN ) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. The WOCN Society was awarded Accreditation with Distinction, the highest recognition awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Accreditation Program. The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15115. AANP Credit This education activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for approval of up to 8 hours of accredited education. Several of these sessions will also include pharmacology content. Actual determination of hours is to be determined. The WOCN Society is approved for Group Membership for NP s by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. This membership entitles WOCN Society members who are NP s to a 10% reduction of their annual dues for AANP. The WOCN Society Group Number is 081122. WOCN 2016 REGISTRATION BROCHURE 3
