Phi Theta Kappa - Xi Lambda Enhanced s - Five-Star Level of Achievement Program Revised 4/6/2007 Phi Theta Kappa s Five-Star Program was designed to create diversity among Phi Theta Kappa members by helping those who seek scholarship money or admission into better four-year colleges to achieve their goals. In addition to having the honor to list your membership in Phi Theta Kappa on your college admission application, you would also be able to distinguish yourself in Phi Theta Kappa by completing one of the levels of the 5-Star Program. Through the 5-Star Program, you not only distinguish yourself as a well rounded member of Phi Theta Kappa, but you also stand out as a more valuable commodity to both four-year colleges and future employers. In today s world of stiff competition, Four-year colleges not only look for scholastic achievement in their applicants seeking scholarship money, but they look for active involvement and civic engagement in the community. Phi Theta Kappa gives you the tools to obtain both! Phi Theta Kappa s Five-Star Program consists of five Star levels of achievement. Depending on your schedule and obligations, begin by choosing a level that is comfortable for you and then follow its requirements. You don t need to go through each level to obtain the 5-Star status. If 5-Star is your goal, then follow the requirements of that particular level. It s that simple! It is always best to aspire to the highest level you possibly can; even if you don t achieve your 5-Star goal, you will be amazed at what your participation will apply to in the other levels! You may find that even though you may have just missed 5-Star, you completed a 4 or 3 Star level! Again, all you have to do is attend the mandatory then choose any of the options associated with your chosen level of participation, and put the date beside the activity once you have completed it.
