Annual Conference 2015 Te Papa, Wellington, New Zealand September 21-22, 2015. First Announcement Welcome to the BioProcessing Network Conference 2015 On behalf of the Organizing Committee I invite you to participate in the BioProcessing Network Conference for 2015. This year, for the first time, our annual meeting will take place at Te Papa in Wellington, New Zealand. The meeting will be held over two days and will precede the annual NZBIO meeting which will be held in the same venue from the 23-24 of September. Te Papa is New Zealand s national museum and provides an innovative and exciting venue for our conference within New Zealand s capital city. As in previous BPN Meetings this conference gathers together researchers, manufacturers, suppliers and others with an active interest in bioprocessing as it applies to areas such as biotherapeutics, biofuels and food processing. Informative presentations and the opportunity to network and discuss new data, concepts and emerging trends in an informal environment is a feature of the conference. Delegates are invited to attend a conference dinner as a further opportunity to network in the evening of Monday 21 st September. Delegates and exhibitors at BPN2015 are invited to also attend NZBIO s annual conference and learn more about developments in the broader biotechnology industry in New Zealand. Scientific Program The BPN 2015 conference will include a keynote address and a scientific programme consisting of oral presentations organised into four sessions and a poster session. These presentations will cover a broad range of bioprocessing applications and technologies including biotherapeutics, cell therapy, biofuels, devices, diagnostics and food processing, under the 4 broad headings of (1) Upstream Technologies, (2) Downstream Processing, (3) Innovative Technologies, and (4) Food Processing Technologies and will highlight new research, emerging technologies, case studies, analytical developments, process optimisation and scale-up as well as quality, regulatory and commercial considerations in the broad field of bioprocessing.
Two awards will be made for the best poster presentations, one for the best overall submission and one for the best poster from a student presenter.
