ANNUAL INSTITUTIONAL THEME AY 2017-18 On 04 July 2017, the Brother President and Chancellor, Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC announced the institutional annual theme for Academic Year 2017-18 as LIVING OUT THE LASALLIAN VALUES IN OUR EDUCATIONAL MISSION TODAY On 07 July 2017, during the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Alumni Honouring Rites at the St. La Salle Coliseum on the celebration of the 65th Foundation Week 2017 (#65 USLS), the Brother President and Chancellor Br. Kenneth quoted St. Paul s Letter to the Ephesians 41: 31-32, Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. BE KIND AND COMPASSIONATE TO ONE ANOTHER, FORGIVING EACH OTHER, JUST AS CHRIST FORGAVE YOU. On the same occasion, the Brother President and Chancellor also cited and shared his thoughts on LIVE, LOVE, LA SALLE, the slogan printed on the back of the Integrated School and Senior High School shirts. ANNUAL INSTITUTIONAL THEME AY 2017-18 DESCRIPTION Taking cue from the directions and input from the Brother President and Chancellor, the Center for Marketing and Communications (CMC) of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development (OVCMD) is pleased to present the campaign LIVE LOVE LA SALLE: LIVING OUT OUR LASALLIAN VALUES. It is a participative social project that creatively engages the community in reflection on how we animate and bring to life the Lasallian Spirit of Faith, Zeal for Service and Communion in Mission in our evolving context today. OBJECTIVES Using photo templates and for the duration of one (1) year (July 2017 to 2018), content is crowdsourced from the community in order: 1.to effectively inform the community of the annual institutional theme and strategic directions 2.to creatively inspire the community to reflect on the theme and enjoin their active participation 3.to sustainably involve the community in the Lasallian shared mission HECTOR J. ANNUAL INSTITUTIONAL THEME AY 2017-18 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS The members of the community are encouraged to submit their photo compositions to livelovelasalle@usls.edu.ph for approval and posting by the CMC and following these instructions: IMAGE 1. The image should have been taken at the University of St. La Salle, Bahay Pag-Asa Youth Center or at partner communities. If shot from the latter, this must be indicated in the photo. Credit must be due to the owner of the photo. 2. The subject should feature ordinary, everyday interactions of and among students, faculty, staff, administration, parent, and/or alumni that bring to life the Spirit of Faith, Zeal for Service, and Communion in Mission today. 3. The image must have been taken in high-resolution and its composition should have enough headroom to make space for the headline. The image should be youthful and positive. HECTOR J. GLORIA, JR. ANNUAL INSTITUTIONAL THEME AY 2017-18 HEADLINE 1. The headline must be witty and playful in expressing Gospel and Lasallian values. 2. The headline should complement the image. 3. The headline structure must be VERB + NOUN (two words) or VERB + PREPOSITION + NOUN (3 words) or VERB + PREPOSITION + ARTICLE + NOUN (4 words). The verb must be in its progressive, i.e. ING form. 4. The headline must always fit into the designated space in the photo and the typeface should never be distorted. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE AND COPYRIGHT 1. All submitted materials will be used for educational purposes for social media posting and tarp/poster display (11X17 inches). 2. Photo credit goes to its owner and it is agreed that the owner gives La Salle the right to use the photo intended for institutional mission communications. HECTOR J. GLORIA, JR.
