General Author Guidelines We are a working committee with no meetings. We communicate as needed via email. We welcome volunteer authors at any time. NEW : Authors are asked to commit to writing at least one article a year. Volunteer authors will be invited to edit committee documents in Google Drive. The link to the live version of these documents will be provided to you by the Editor. Authors select their own dates for publication (first come, first served). Simplified Style Guide Authors are asked to write articles that reflect on experiences and practices, rather than on grant writing basics. We look for and appreciate articles that are personal, personable, and reflective in nature. Submit article in Word, Arial 12-pt font, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Your article should include at its head the title of your article and your name, with your name hyperlinked to your email address. Articles should be no longer than 600 words. Submit article with your headshot, which will be published in the enewsletter. NEW : The GPA Grant News follows the Associated Press Style (2012 edition). Please indicate in the header of your article which theme and competency(ies) tie to your content. NEW : Please do not include promotional content of any kind in your article. Publication Schedule The GPA Grant News is published every Tuesday afternoon (approx. 2pm CT). Your proof is due to the Editor on Tuesday the week prior to publication. The editor will review your article for content and theme and will send it to the Associate Editor for proofing/editing on Wednesday the week prior to publication. The Associate Editor s comments and edits are due back to the Editor and the author on Friday the week prior to publication. The Editor will send, or will ask the author to send, the final approved version of your article to GPA Membership Director by 12pm CT on Monday the week of publication.
