September 11 th - PARENT MEETING WITH STUDENTS at RMS in MP o Students Only 3:05-5:30 in MP o With Parents 5:30 6:00 in MP AUDITIONS AT REDWOOD RM 28! The Audition will last 1 hour! EVERYONE GETS A PART! - ARRIVE ON TIME for audition - No parents/friends allowed in auditions - The audition process will include singing, dancing, speaking and acting. Vocal Audition: You will be asked if you wish to sing solo (lead parts) or with a group (chorus). Chorus: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SING BY YOURSELF for the audition PLEASE REMIND Mrs. A and Mrs. L. If you want a solo, MEMORIZE the singing parts from the site to perform during the audition. Dance Audition: You will be taught a short dance routine, and then will perform it for the director. Acting Audition: Students who do not wish to speak in the show do NOT have to prepare the monologues included on the site. Those who want to have lines should MEMORIZE the speaking parts on the site, to perform during the audition. CALLBACKS will be Sept. 10 th, starting at 1:50 P.M. Rehearsal Dates: YOU WILL REHEARSE 3 DAYS A WEEK Depending on your role you may not have rehearsal at all some weeks!

The Director has three children of her own as well as the musical schedule, the other directors are simultaneously running the Argo Play Being on time this year is important PLEASE!. Thank you! -I have accurately listed all known conflicts on my child s audition form. We understand that re-assignment of roles may occur due to excessive absences (MORE THAN THREE), at the Director s discretion. That includes absences due to illness, as well as commitments to school, sports and family. I understand that this policy is not offered as a punishment. Each cast member must practice to make progress onschedule to reach opening night with a great show. NO REHEARSALS DURING TECH WEEK CAN BE MISSED FOR ANY REASON without permission from the director prior to casting.** - Students may not miss any of the mandatory rehearsal/performance dates including at the McAfee, Tech and Dress rehearsals and Performances or they will be DROPPED/or be assigned a smaller part immediately! - Students are responsible for bringing their script, a pencil and a yellow highlighter to every rehearsal. Lost scripts will not be replaced! - Comfortable clothing should be worn based on the type of rehearsal called (NO SANDALS, NO BOOTS, NO FLIP FLOPS!) - All students will treat each other with respect. WE ARE A TEAM and here to support each other. - All school rules must be followed; and breaking them will result in immediate dismissal from the musical. - All students will be responsible for memorizing their lines/lyrics and must be off-book by the date set. - Students will be responsible to leave the rehearsal space in excellent condition after each rehearsal. -Expensive items and electronic games are to be left at home!
