Requirement for the Creation of the Course: The course has been created in order to provide senior officers working in operations and training the fundamentals of SP function, activities, and tasks enabling an understanding of the important role of SP in current and future operations. 3. Aim: To provide Senior Officers, who can be deployed in NATO operations and/or can have a relevant role in operations and exercise planning, with the basic understanding of SP (AJP 3. - 015 doctrine final draft-3). 4. Learning Objectives: In accordance with Directive 75-7, the course is conducted to teach the attendees in order to deliver them the basic knowledge and the foundation skills that should enable him/her to deal and understand SP issues in the military applications.

The course is open to personnel from NATO, PfP, either military or civilians eligible for deployment in NATO operations and/or can have a relevant role in operational planning/planning or conducting of exercise.
