Requirement for the Creation of the Course: The course has been created in order to provide senior officers working in operations and training the fundamentals of SP function, activities, and tasks enabling an understanding of the important role of SP in current and future operations. 3. Aim: To provide Senior Officers, who can be deployed in NATO operations and/or can have a relevant role in operations and exercise planning, with the basic understanding of SP (AJP 3. - 015 doctrine final draft-3). 4. Learning Objectives: In accordance with Directive 75-7, the course is conducted to teach the attendees in order to deliver them the basic knowledge and the foundation skills that should enable him/her to deal and understand SP issues in the military applications.

Learning objectives: at the end of the course every attendee should gain the capability to: a. Distinguish the various SP capabilities. b. Have an overall comprehension of the NATO, UN and EU perspective on police mission in operational area. c. Explain the SP role in the relationship with civilians in a NATO missions. d. Explain the SP role to counter the hybrid threats new challenges. 5. NATO standards and doctrine: NATO Directive 75/7 & 75/3, 7. Target audience: The course is for Senior Officers and civilian equivalent. 8. Instructors and teaching staff: The instructors belong either to the environment of military as well as to academic, and in both cases, they are eminently and widely recognized as Subject Matter Experts in the field. 9. Security Clearance: None requested. The overall classification of the course is NATO/PfP UNCLASSIFIED. 10. Instructional system design: Bi-SC Directive 75-7, Education and Individual Training is the base for the course. The course has been designed to ensure that the attendees will be able to deal with SP issues in a military environment in the best possible way. 11. Instructional sequencing: The agenda of the 1 st edition of the course attached to this document gives information about the topics and the way they are dealt with in the course, starting from the general concepts to practical experience. 1. Student Assessment Plan: No test will be given to the attendees at the end of the course. 13. Update/Revision Plan: Feedbacks received both from attendees and instructors at the end of this 1 st edition will be evaluated for possible course changes/improvements.

Please find attached the information on the course Introduction to Stability Policing for Leaders that will be conducted from 09 May to 13 May 016 at the NATO Stability Policing Center of Excellence (NATO SP COE) in Vicenza ITALY.. The course is open to personnel from NATO, PfP, either military or civilians eligible for deployment in NATO operations and/or can have a relevant role in operational planning/planning or conducting of exercise.
