Secretary of the Alumni Assn. at the Annual Alumni Reunion in St. Louis this past June. He will serve for another 5 year term. Virginia will continue as his Administrative Assistant. Cardinal Justin Rigali awarded Founder s Award Also at the Alumni Reunion in St. Louis, Cardinal Rigali was presented with the coveted Founder s Award. The Cardinal is a graduate of the Casa 1964 and has been a long- time supporter of the college. ALUMNI NEWS Msgr. John (Jed) Patrick (Class of 1968) is now a senior priest but still ministering part-time for Cross Catholic Outreach in the diocese of Marquette, MI. Msgr. Richard Duncanson (Class of 1972, CASA 1980, ICTE 01 & 11) has been reassigned to Rancho Santa Fe, CA after serving nine years at Mission San Diego. He will continue to serve on the Board of Trustees of the University of San Diego. Most Rev. John Nienstedt (Class of 1973, CASA 1976) has resigned as Archbishop of St Paul/Minneapolis. Msgr. Mark Brennan (Class of 1974) is pastor of a large predominantly immigrant parish 15 miles north of Washington, DC. Eleven masses every weekend (not all his). Not sure that if it keeps him young but it does keep him moving. Most Rev. Thomas E. Gullickson (Class of 1976) has been reappointed from the Apostolic Nunciature in Ukraine to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Rev. Thomas Voorhies (Class of 1990) has been appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Churches in Ville Platte, LA. Rev. Joseph Pasciuto (ICTE F 02) recently received, from the Xaverian Brothers, the Concordia Society Coin honoring those who actively support the Brothers and their mission. Father is now homebound but still doing what he can. Rev. Joshua Rodrique Class of 2002) has been appointed Chaplain for the Louisiana State Police Troop C. Rev. Gregorio Mirto (ICTE F 2006) retired in May and living in residence at St. Theresa s in Sugar Land, TX. he is helping with pastoral ministry when needed celebrated his 50 th Anniversary April 3. Rev. Samuel Kachuba (Class of 2008) is now pastor at St. Pius X Parish in Fairfield, CT. He will remain the Vocations Director but no longer be chaplain at Trinity Catholic High School. Msgr. Ron Newland (ICTE S 11) has retired and enjoying being the weekend assistant at Blessed Trinity Parish at Rockaway Point, NY. He also is the organist for the 5:00 pm vigil mass. Rev. Douglas Marcotte (Class 2013) was named Administrator of Saint Augustine and Most Sacred Heart of Jesus parishes in Jeffersonville, IN. Bolivian Bishops Gather with Pope Francis Submitted by Bishop Robert Flock (Class of 1982) Most Rev. Robert Flock recently helped welcome his Holiness on his visit to Bolivia. The Mass in Santa Cruz on July 9 th coincided with his 33 rd anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. The next day he visited with the Bishops at his former parish of La Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz.
