Test D: 2784023 1 A recruiting service that provides only video of prospective student-athletes and does not provide information about or analysis of prospective student-athletes is a permissible recruiting service. 2 During June, July and August, a basketball coach or noncoaching staff member with sport specific responsibilities may be employed at a noninstitutional (i.e., privately owned) basketball camp or clinic in which prospective student-athletes participate, provided the camp or clinic is operated in accordance with restrictions applicable to institutional camps or clinics. 3 During an academic-year evaluation period, two coaches engaged in off-campus recruiting activities on the same day use recruiting-person days. Test D: 2784023 8 Outside of the July evaluation periods, institutions are limited to recruiting opportunities per prospective student-athlete. The prospective student-athlete already participated in an OCE at the institution during the senior year in high school. Assuming the prospective student-athlete meets all other requirements of an OCE, this is permissible. 12 An institution's basketball camp or clinic may be conducted only during the months of or any calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that includes days of those months. Test D: 2784023 16 A prospective student-athlete's nonscholastic basketball coach would be considered an individual associated with a prospective student-athlete (AWP). 17 An institution's basketball camp may ONLY be conducted during the months of June, July and August, or any calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that includes days of those months. 18 Telephone calls during the July evaluation periods are permissible prior to a prospective student-athlete's commitment to the institution per Bylaw 13.02.13.1, provided no more than one telephone call per week is made. 19 An institution's coach may evaluate prospective student-athletes during pick-up games that occur during a summer evaluation period. 20 Evaluations at nonscholastic events during the academic year evaluation period shall not occur during any weekend that the following test is administered? A) PSAT. B) SAT. C) ACT. D) Any of the above. 21 During the month of May, it is permissible for an institution's basketball coach to lecture at a noninstitutional, privately owned basketball camp that is operated under restrictions applicable to institutional camps. 22 An institution may permit a prospective student-athlete in the sport of women's basketball to make an UNOFFCAL visit at any time, other than during a dead period or during the July evaluation periods if the prospective student-athlete has not committed to the institution per Bylaw 13.02.13.1. 23 During a two-year period before a recruited prospective student-athlete's anticipated enrollment and a two-year period after the recruited prospective student-athlete's actual enrollment, an institution shall not employ (or enter into a contract for future employment with) an individual associated with the recruited prospective student-athlete in any athletics department noncoaching staff position. 24 n sports other than men's ice hockey and skiing, before initial full-time collegiate enrollment, an individual may compete on a professional team, provided he or she does not receive more than actual and necessary expenses to participate on the team. Test D: 2784023 25 An institution may not provide a written offer of athletically related aid, or indicate in writing to the prospective student-athlete that an athletically related grant-in-aid will be offered by the institution, until August 1 of the prospective student-athlete's senior year in high school. 26 During an OFFCAL visit, a member institution may provide reasonable entertainment to a prospective studentathlete and his or her parents, legal guardians or spouse within how many miles of the institution's campus? D) 60 miles. 27 A prospective student-athlete has graduated from high school and has submitted an application for a summer groundskeeper position within the athletics department.
