Galloup School Class Contract Updated 12/12/2016 PAGE 5 OF 6 The purpose of this letter is to recap the information you have gathered on our program and to make sure that you fully understand what the Galloup School is offering you in terms of your class projects, living environment, tuition and school schedule. Please feel free to call us if you have more questions or concerns. In the Masters Program you will build four different instruments. This includes in the first eight week term an electric guitar or an electric bass and an acoustic, 14 fret or 12 fret acoustic guitar. In the second and third eight week terms you will have a choice of building any two instruments (one for each remaining term) choosing from a classical guitar, finger style acoustic, set-neck electric (with hand wound pickups), or an archtop. The cost for the Masters Program is $18,500 and this includes everything you need while you attend classes. Housing is fully furnished with a complete kitchen and provided free of charge but students are responsible for their own food and entertainment. You will need to supply linens for a full size bed and towels. Housing is offered free of charge and is not included in the cost of tuition. Students who require alternative living arrangements, housing can be secured locally at the expense of the student. For the Masters Program we require a deposit of $3,000 to enroll and we apply $1000 to each eight-week term. The remainder of tuition is due as follows: On the first day of the first term - $5800 is due, on the first day of the 2nd term $4,850 is due and on the first day of the 3rd term $4,850 is due. The cost for the Journeyman Program is $6,800 and includes everything you need while you are attending classes. The Technicians Programs consist of 2 two-day classes, Fretting and Set-Up. These weekend courses are offered 6 times per year, with working hours between 8 am 5 pm, with a lunch break from noon 1:00 pm as well as 2 fifteen-minute breaks. Housing is not offered for this program, but we can offer suggestions for hotels or campgrounds in our area. The cost for the Technicians program is $1,500 and we require a deposit of $750 to enroll with the remainder due on the first day of class. The class hours for both the Journeyman and the Masters Programs are Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm with a one hour break for lunch from noon 1:00 pm and two 15 minute breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We do need to work an occasional weekend day or in the evenings to stay on schedule or makeup time. Refund Policy The following terms apply: - All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if requested within three business days after signing a contract with the school. - All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded due to cancellation if notice is received no less than 30 days before the start of the scheduled term. - All tuition and fees paid by the applicant will be refundeed if the applicant is rejected before enrollment. An applicant fee of not more than $25 may be retained by the school if the applicant is denied. - Notice of the cancellations must be from the applicant and in writing. It must be received at the Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair no less than 30 days before the start of the scheduled term to guarantee a 100% refund. - Student cancellations less than 30 days before the start of the semester term may result in the forfeiture of all or a portion of tuition and fees paid.
Galloup School Class Contract Updated 12/12/2016 PAGE 6 OF 6 - All refunds shall be returned within 30 days after notice of cancellation is received from applicant NOTE: It is recommended that you purchase a nice pair of safety glasses that fit very comfortably and have excellent coverage. We do supply these free of charge with adjustable temple length, but they are not always the best fit. If you already wear glasses be sure to find impact safe lenses with temple guards.
