General Reunion Information 28 MAY 2014 From: OHR (Officer Hospitality Room) Official conduct and socialization with locals Reference: AMC 24-645.onri A large part of our socializing takes place in our hospitality rooms as those who have previously attended Ware reunions know. The room will be stocked with drinks and goodies. We will have our usual setup of snacks, coffee, and soft drinks. In addition many members and their guests bring their own delicious snacks including home -made cakes, candies, etc. It should be noted however that those bringing home-made goodies are required to provide 10% of their items to Reunion Director(s) Austin Fesmire and Frank Biondo prior to placing the items in the hospitality room. This is required to ensure the safety of the crew as Austin and Frank will sample the goods. We also count on the help of members to set up the hospitality room, to sell raffle tickets and items. Adult Beverage Information We will have drinks including adult beverages in the hospitality room including, scotch, vodka, rye, beer, wine, etc. The reunion will purchase some of these beverages, but with so many who have their own personal preference we suggest you also bring your favorite beverage. Reminder the local authorities advise that no alcoholic beverages are allowed outside of the hospitality room. Ware Memories The hospitality room also contains Ware mementos. You are invited to bring yours to share. Ware Raffle and 50/50 Drawing Please bring an item to donate for the raffle. It is a fun time and the money we raise supports Ware projects including Veterans Memorial Park in Athens and the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum. These locations are home to the USS Charles R Ware Memorial and the official repository of the Ware artifacts.
