achieve Your DREAM in daegu haany university DREAM PROJECT 03 daegu haany university Introduction daegu haany university Academic Programs Undergraduate Colleges and School Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, Republic of Korea Location Daegu Haany University has three campuses, Soosung, Samsun, and Osung Campus. - Soosung Campus specialized in Korean traditional medicine is located in Sang-dong, Daegu City (Daegu Haany University Korean Medical Hospital). - Samsung Campus is the main one surrounded by nature friendly educational environment located in Gyeongsan-si. - Osung campus nurturing Korea herbal medicine industry specialists is located in Yeochoendong, Gyeonsan-si. Establish 1980 Form Private Daegu Haany University has grown and evolved significantly since its foundation in 1980 with its focus on Korean medicine and Korean herbal medicine industries. Each specialized campus (Samsung, Soosung and Osung) has its own customized academic fields based on the Korean medicine and herbal industry. In response to the advancement of information technology and globalization, it tries to provide specialized training and research programs along with various curriculums. It is also focusing on strengthening the specialization of university centered around the college of Korean medicine, medical science and college of herbal industry. In 2014, it was selected for the University Specialization Project ( HAPPY AGING Expert Education Project connected with the oriental medicine industries & Western and Korean Medicine Convergence in Sports Medicine Professional Trainer Education Project ) by the Ministry of Education, and has put spur the cultivation of Korean medicine professional experts in the fields of health and welfare. In addition, the cosmeceutical science major, which is selected as an excellent specialization department, plays a pivot role as the growth engine for herbal bio-industry with the Kirin Herb Tech, an university enterprise producing Korean herbal medical cosmetics. Since 2014, it has developed a customized educational program, called the OLE (On-sight Practice for Employment) in response to the craze for internalization and the advent of the information age. It aims to build an unique and distinguished new model for industry-university collaboration. Also, it ranked top in the employment rate of its graduates among Daegu and Gyeongbuk local universities(reference year : 1st of June, 2014). Furthermore, it has implemented the 3E project to meet the students needs for Education, Employment, and Entertainment, which are the most important factors for harmonized campus life. Also, Daegu Haany University endeavors to become a global university by building cooperative relationship with 72 institutes in 20 countries including China, Japan, the U.K, the U.S.A, Russia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Mongolia.
