Canadian Remount Depot Background Information Organized at Valcartier in September 1914 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel William Hendrie. Composed of 100st, 101th and 102nd Remount Squadrons. Arrived in France 16 May 1915 and situated at Hautot. Reorganized on 22 October 1915 into 100th and 101st squadrons. Disbanded by General Order 193 of 1 November 1920.
