ALUMNI BEAR NOOZ Winter 2015 =========================================================================== Frank Barle Alumni Memorial Golf Tournament Results October 12, 2014 Kern River Golf Course This was the first year the Arvin Alumni Golf Tournament was held at the Kern River Golf Course. Twenty nine teams played followed by a nice tri-tip luncheon and awards. With the sponsorships included the event netted about $16,000 for scholarships. Students we have given scholarships to are now attending BC, CSUB, UC Davis, San Jose State University, UC Merced, Fresno State, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Northridge, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, San Diego State University, Mesa College in San Diego. Along with scholarships, contributions are given to academic teams and organizations on campus such as Health Careers (HOSA), We the People Constitution Team, FFA, Chamberlain Golf Tournament, the choir program and football game Program.
